Well, here is another song with an environmental theme. The lyrics are maybe a bit obscure. I could explain each line, something that might get a little tiresome. The song is a celebration of those who champion environmental issues.

My own particular focus in this regard is pollinators. It’s hard for me to understand how this can be seen as a political issue, since we are dependent on natural pollinators (bees, wasps, butterflies, and even some mammals, among others) for around 80% of what we eat. If the pollinators disappear, we will also.

That’s where my own volunteer efforts go, to help restore habitats for the pollinators we need. But there are so many other issues and I think we need to worry about what kind of world we leave for the next generation. OK, I’ll get off the soapbox now…
