I am very fond of Irish music. I play it as part of the song list in the acoustic band that I am in. We are not all that traditional in how we treat these songs, but I have a good deal of respect for those who are. I enjoy bands like the Dropkick Murphys, with their high energy Irish style music. This song is a little bit down those lines. I wrote it for my acoustic band as a fun song to perform, with its clever (hopefully) lyrics and bouncy melody.
