All around I feel the fear
Like a darkness drawing near
Pundits seem to think that you should always be afraid
Look what kind of world that they’ve made.

Take some time to look around
Open your eyes, turn off the sound
They may say that conspiracies surround you everywhere
They just want to feed off your despair.

They may seek to paralyze you with what is unreal
Imaginary enemy is near
The most unlikely things become so hard to deny
And they control you through your fear.

I can’t help but sympathize
With all those lives ruined by lies
There have always been those who say that the end is near
But real tragedies result from fear.
