I am standing on the corner
Waiting for a life

Just standing on the corner
Keeping track of time

Waiting for a vision
That will set things right
Hope to find a mission
Or maybe second site.

I find myself
Staring up at the sky
The rain come down
I tell myself a lie.

Rain turns to snow
As I walk in the door
I walk down the hallway
Leaving water on the floor.

Turn up the heat
A degree or two
Got a chill in my bones
It began with losing you.

I hear those footsteps
Like traveling back in time
Like a light in the shadow
You never leave my mind.

I don’t go anywhere
Without you around
Don’t know what makes me happy
Or where it can be found.

They say they’ll be another one
If I let time go by
But to me you are the only one
Until the day I die.
