Ocean

The waves are my silence
The storm is my song
The wind moves like a shadow
When the daylight is gone.

Chorus
I want to go back home
To a place I’ve hardly known

The sand whispers its stories
About the passing of time
How the greatest plans crumble
And the seas fall and rise.

I was born in the flatlands
Where the streams flow lazily
Before I ever saw the ocean
I heard it call to me.

Chorus

It calls to me
The great grey sea.

Maybe the ocean
Is part of me
In some life long long past
I lived by the sea.

Chorus

It calls to me
The great grey sea.
