Ghost Ship
I won’t see the sun today
A month of overcast
Blue skies of yesterday
Have slipped into the past.
Everything is running down
Far away and close
Like the sun I’ll fade away
I’ll become a ghost.
While I wander everywhere
Unseen and unheard
I’ll see the harm around
But I won’t say a word.
Call a witness, swear an oath
Say what I believe
Let the ghost that I’ve become
Survive and never leave.
Chorus
Oh, no, here I go
Bringing everyone down
Am I the only one who can
Hear the siren sound
A ghost ship sails the seas
Until it runs aground
Slowly slips beneath the waves
And hardly makes a sound.
Now, it’s a panoramic view
From my castle wall
People hurry everywhere
And I can see it all
I have a choice, find my voice
To be seen and heard
But I’ll just take it all in
And never say a word.
Chorus
Unwound and unbound
I can sail free
Stay apart from the crowd
Find the ghost in me.
In time, a price will come
From distance and delay
Words will fail me when I have
Something I want to say.
Chorus
